uAvionix and Airwise Solutions have formed a strategic partnership to enhance Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone operations at Skyway Range in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The collaboration integrates uAvionix’s FlightLine surveillance data into the Airwise Nexus platform, providing real-time airspace awareness and deconfliction support for drone operators.

## FlightLine Surveillance Data Integration

The partnership leverages uAvionix’s nationwide FlightStation network, which monitors ADS-B frequencies at 978 MHz UAT and 1090 MHz ES to detect cooperative aircraft at very low altitudes. This data is fed into the Airwise platform through a secure API, offering operators deduplicated, low-latency airspace traffic information without the need for local sensor deployment.

Thomas Jimenez, Vice President of Uncrewed Systems at uAvionix, emphasized the importance of reliable surveillance data for scalable autonomous aviation. He stated that the integration eliminates the need for local sensor deployment while providing operators with trusted, FAA-grade airspace traffic data.

## Benefits and Rollout at Skyway Range

The integrated system offers several benefits, including real-time airspace awareness, low-latency deconfliction support, FlightStation health monitoring, and simplified UTM deployment. These capabilities are available to operators ranging from single flights to nationwide enterprise programs.

Skyway Range, which operates a 1,200-square-mile BVLOS flight test range in Oklahoma, is the first to benefit from this partnership. The capability is immediately available for range participants and Airwise enterprise customers.

John Powers, Chief Revenue Officer at Airwise Solutions, highlighted the need for trusted data within a unified operational environment as drone operations grow in complexity. He noted that the partnership combines industry-leading surveillance with Airwise’s enterprise drone operations platform and UTM capabilities, providing organizations with the operational airspace awareness needed for safe expansion of advanced drone operations.

Jason George, General Manager of Skyway Range, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that it enhances their platform and ecosystem. He emphasized that the integration of world-renowned airspace data with a local UTM provider underscores the region’s ability to produce world-class technology and infrastructure.
