Potensic is highlighting its Atom 3 camera drone at the IFA 2026 tech show in Berlin. The sub-250-gram drone features a 1/1.3-inch sensor, 4K/60fps HDR video, and a 40-minute flight time.
Potensic is showcasing its Atom 3 camera drone at the IFA 2026 consumer technology show in Berlin. The drone, which weighs less than 249 grams, is aimed at travelers, outdoor adventurers, and first-time aerial creators.
The company is using the event to introduce more people to the model, which originally launched earlier in the summer of 2026. The focus is on the drone's combination of lightweight portability and advanced camera features.
Camera and Imaging Capabilities
The camera system is a central selling point. Potensic has equipped the Atom 3 with a 1/1.3-inch image sensor and a dual-focal 48mm camera. This allows pilots to switch between wide landscape shots and tighter compositions without needing to change aircraft.
It records 4K video at 60 frames per second with HDR support. Potensic says this helps preserve detail in scenes with both bright skies and darker foregrounds.
Flight Performance and Features
Flight performance is designed to be competitive. Potensic states the drone can achieve a flight time of up to 40 minutes on a single battery charge. The reported video transmission range is 16 kilometers, which the company says gives pilots flexibility when flying in open areas within local regulations.
A key software feature is AI Follow 2.0. This intelligent tracking system automatically locks onto and follows moving subjects. It is intended for activities like cycling, hiking, or filming family outings, allowing solo creators to capture dynamic footage without a separate camera operator.
Market Position and Presentation
The Atom 3 falls into the ultra-lightweight class popularized by drones like the DJI Mini series. Its sub-250-gram weight makes it easy to transport in a backpack for trips or hikes.
At IFA 2026, Potensic is presenting the drone under the "See Beyond" theme, encouraging users to explore new aerial perspectives. The report suggests the hardware itself may attract buyers looking for a capable lightweight drone without a premium price tag.
