LiveU and Airwise have formed a strategic partnership to integrate video transmission with drone fleet management and airspace awareness for public safety use. The collaboration combines LiveU’s resilient, low-latency video transmission technology with Airwise’s platform for fleet and flight management, airspace compliance, and video distribution. The joint solution connects these critical functions into a single operational view, aiming to reduce complexity for agencies expanding their drone operations.

Problem being solved

Public safety agencies currently often stitch together systems from several different vendors for connectivity, video, fleet management, and airspace compliance. These systems may not have been designed to work together, creating additional operational complexity during critical incidents. The partnership is fundamentally about reducing the number of moving parts for these agencies. It eliminates the need for them to assemble and manage disparate systems from multiple vendors.

Benefits of the integrated solution

The partnership aims to give public safety teams a single workflow covering flight planning through live video delivery. For incident commanders, the integration could mean getting key drone footage on command displays and mobile devices with less delay. For drone operators, the setup is designed to let them focus on flying and the mission rather than managing multiple disconnected systems. Instead of treating flight management, airspace awareness, and video transmission as separate systems, the integration seeks to make them work as one unified platform.

Gabe Graveline, an EMS Officer and Robotics Coordinator at Tulsa Fire Department, endorsed the approach. "Having a unified technology stack that seamlessly pairs LiveU’s bonded transmission with Airwise’s flight management makes an immediate impact on tactical operations," he said.

Demonstration at DRONERESPONDERS TEXCON 2026

The integrated solution will be showed at the upcoming DRONERESPONDERS TEXCON 2026 conference. The event is scheduled for October 19-22 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

During the demonstration, a live drone mission will be managed through the Airwise platform, including automated notifications to relevant stakeholders. LiveU’s IP-bonded connectivity will transmit the drone’s live video feed to command displays and mobile devices in real-time. The integration will be on display throughout the event from October 19-22.
