DJI Ends Support for Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 in 2026
DJI will cease all technical support and repairs for the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 drone and its accessories after October 31, 2026.

DJI will end all service support for the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 on October 31, 2026. After that date, the company will no longer provide product inquiries, technical support, or repairs for the drone and its accessories.
This move finalizes the sunsetting of a key model. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 helped democratize high-end aerial imaging for professional creators.
A legacy in aerial imaging
Launched in May 2018, the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 was a quadcopter that brought studio-grade capabilities to the sky. It featured a one-inch, 20-megapixel CMOS sensor and an adjustable aperture from f/2.8 to f/11. The drone could record 4K video at 60 frames per second.
It introduced DJI’s OcuSync transmission system for improved reliability. Its redesigned propellers reduced flight noise by up to sixty percent compared to the original Phantom 4 Pro. The advertised flight time was up to thirty minutes.
The Phantom line was instrumental in establishing DJI as a market leader. It turned aerial photography and videography into a major business. For many filmmaking crews, the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 became a regular tool, helping to establish aerial cinematography as a distinct art form. The model includes obstacle sensing in five directions.
Context in DJI’s product lifecycle
Production of the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 was suspended in August 2022. Its service end will come about four years and two months after production stopped. This model outlived its siblings on the production line by more than four years.
DJI typically provides around five years of service support for discontinued products. The Mavic 2 Pro, Osmo Action, and both Mavic 2 Enterprise models all received service for almost exactly five years. The original Phantom 4 Pro and Pro+ ended production in April 2018 and lost service support on June 1, 2025. The much older Phantom 1 ended production in April 2015 and lost service in February 2019.
As of June 2025, the Phantom 4 Pro V2 was still on DJI’s service books. The drone will continue to fly legally after October 31, 2026. DJI shipped a Remote ID broadcast firmware update for the Phantom 4 Pro V2 and V2+ in November 2023.
This phase-out occurs against a shifting regulatory backdrop in the United States. No new DJI model has received FCC authorization since December 22, 2025. On that same date, the FCC added all foreign-made drones to its Covered List.
What comes next for users
With support ending, DJI recommends that owners upgrade to an alternative product of a new model. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 will no longer be supported by the manufacturer after the cutoff. DJI advises users to service their units before support ends.
