Matternet common stock began trading on the OTCQB Venture Market on September 21, 2026. The Mountain View, California-based company trades under the ticker symbol MTTN.

Matternet describes itself as the only FAA type-certified drone delivery platform. The company states the OTCQB quotation should broaden its visibility and access to capital markets. This move comes as Matternet prepares to launch a next-generation platform and expand commercial operations.

"As we enter the era of physical AI, we believe 2026 is an inflection point for drone delivery in the United States," said Andreas Raptopoulos, founder and chief executive of Matternet. He added that drone delivery will become part of the essential infrastructure for receiving everyday goods.

Corporate Developments and Partnerships

The stock listing follows an oversubscribed private placement and several corporate milestones. Matternet recently launched drone delivery operations for the United Kingdom's National Health Service. It also entered a strategic partnership with SoftBank Robotics America to scale delivery networks.

The company expanded its board of directors, appointing Sanjay Shah and Sanjay Kotte. Their leadership experience comes from companies including Starbucks, Tesla, Amazon, and DoorDash. Matternet has also grown its network of FAA Part 135 operating partners to support scaling across the United States.

Last week, the company announced a partnership with AVI-SPL to fly replacement parts to field technicians in congested metro markets.

Technology and Operational History

Matternet's core technology includes the Matternet M2 drone, the Matternet Station, and the Matternet Software Platform. The company operates this technology directly for customers or alongside logistics partners like UPS.

It claims several industry firsts. Matternet was the first authorized for commercial beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) drone delivery over cities in Switzerland. It was also the first to launch routine revenue-generating drone delivery operations in the United States.

The company holds both standard type certification and production certification from the FAA. Its Part 135 operations are conducted through partners including UPS Flight Forward, Ameriflight, and Beeline UAS.

Commercial activity spans over a decade. Matternet started with humanitarian delivery missions in 2014. It launched B2B healthcare operations in Europe in 2017 and in the United States in 2019. Expansion into business-to-consumer delivery followed in Silicon Valley in 2024.

To date, the company's technology has enabled more than 60,000 commercial flights across dense urban and suburban environments in the United States and Europe. Raptopoulos framed the service's value for vehicle efficiency, contrasting small autonomous aircraft with two-ton ground vehicles stuck in traffic.
