DFT Wins $500M Counter-Drone Contract for Domestic Shield
Digital Force Technologies secured a $500 million IDIQ contract to provide its SeraphimOS-powered counter-UAS systems for the U.S.

Digital Force Technologies has been awarded a $500 million counter-drone contract for the Domestic Shield initiative. The San Diego-based defense firm received a three-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to supply Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems capabilities.
System capabilities and technology
The contract covers DFT’s family of C-UAS systems powered by its SeraphimOS™ software. This edge-based architecture fuses data from multiple sensors. It autonomously assesses and classifies threats, delivering real-time actionable information to operators.
SeraphimOS™ supports the full kill chain: detection, tracking, identification, and engagement. The system enables both kinetic and non-kinetic effects. Its open architecture allows integration across various sensors, effectors, platforms, and third-party systems.
This technology enables advanced orchestration of uncrewed systems. It supports coordinated multi-domain sensing and autonomous operations. The systems are designed to function in contested, disconnected, and degraded communications environments.
Operational scope and end use
The systems will support Department of Defense personnel in force protection, base defense, and counter-UAS operations. Work will occur globally, including within the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside it (OCONUS).
The Domestic Shield initiative aims to accelerate deployment of layered counter-UAS capabilities. Its goal is to protect military installations, critical assets, and personnel against evolving unmanned aerial threats. U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Matt Ross, director of Joint Interagency Task Force 401, emphasized the need for flexible solutions. "Safeguarding our critical assets against increasingly agile drone threats demands flexible, highly mobile protection that can deploy rapidly where it is needed most," he said.
Leadership and company background
Digital Force Technologies is a defense technology company specializing in Full-Stack Mission Systems. It has been in operation for more than 25 years and has fielded thousands of systems for U.S. Military missions. The company is based in San Diego, California.
Justin MacLaurin is the President and CEO of DFT. "This award represents a significant milestone for DFT and reinforces the importance of rapidly delivering adaptable, mission-ready technology to the warfighter," MacLaurin stated. Individual orders will be placed under the IDIQ contract as specific requirements arise for counter-UAS operations in the U.S. and overseas.
