Garuda Aerospace Drones Aid Nepal Flood Relief
Indian drone manufacturer Garuda Aerospace has deployed its Sanjeevani logistics drones to Nepal's Rasuwa district to support flood relief.

Garuda Aerospace, an Indian drone manufacturer preparing for an initial public offering, has sent drones to Nepal for flood relief operations. The company is supporting emergency response in the Rasuwa district, where severe flooding has damaged infrastructure and cut off roads and communications.
According to a report from sUAS News, the deployment aims to strengthen relief efforts through rapid aerial assessment and by improving access to challenging areas. Garuda is providing certified drone pilots along with battery systems and ground-support equipment to enable sustained operations in the mountainous terrain.
Logistics Drone Deployment
The core of the operation involves Garuda's Sanjeevani logistics drones. These aircraft are capable of carrying up to 25 kilograms of cargo. They are being used for point-to-point delivery of essential items like food, medicine, and water to communities isolated by the floods.
Company founder and CEO Agnishwar Jayaprakash commented on the mission. "We are honoured to support Nepal and contribute to the ongoing relief efforts," he said. "In difficult times, every effort counts, and we hope our drones and teams can help ensure essential supplies reach people in need, especially in areas that are difficult to access."
History of Disaster Response
Garuda Aerospace has a track record of using drones for disaster and humanitarian operations across India. The company's past deployments form a significant part of its operational experience.

Reinforcing a Commitment
The Nepal deployment builds on this established pattern of crisis intervention. The company states its commitment is to stand alongside relief teams and communities during recovery. This mission specifically targets the challenges of delivering aid in hard-to-reach environments where conventional transport is disrupted. Garuda's role focuses on enabling more efficient response from relief teams on the ground.
The company's efforts in Nepal further reinforce its focus on rapid disaster response. Its drones are now operating in another nation's challenging terrain, aiming to bridge the last-mile gap in emergency supply chains.
